Synopsis:

I saw her first.
Blonde. Gorgeous. Feisty.
I was smitten.

But it didn’t matter because she chose him and he was my best friend and roommate. I’d never be able to compete with that, so I pushed her away instead. It was easy when she lived hours away, and I didn’t have to see her every day, but then she moved in with us.
Now, I’m screwed.

To her singing in the shower every morning, dancing in the kitchen while she makes coffee, and doing yoga in our living room, I can’t stop thinking about her in all the wrong ways. She’s not mine and never will be, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to push her against a wall and claim her mouth.

She’s constantly on me for making messes, bringing chicks home every weekend, and being a smartass when their PDA gets on my nerves. Considering neither of them know how I feel, it’s not fair for the way I act toward them. I should move out so I can get over her for good; however, the selfish part of me can’t let go.

And then the unthinkable happens...
When my best friend dies in a motorcycle accident, the two of us are left to grieve our loss together. Instead of pushing her away, I pull her closer.

Just as we come to terms with our new reality, she finds out she’s pregnant with his baby.
And I’m left to make the hardest decision of my life.

Review:
*An ARC of this book kindly provided to me by the authors*
So... what to say about Baby Mine?
I first met Kennedy's Fox work when I accidently stumbled upon her instagram and from the excerpts and teasers for this books I got very curious.
I can't tell you how happy I was to see this book on my kindle! It was just *ahfagfiagfaliyi* but then I started and I think I had all these expectations for this book that weren't quite met.
I'll start by saying this was not a bad book, I greatly appreciated getting into the story, meeting these characters and their stories. Neither Lennon nor Brandon for most of the book were that likeble as characters. To Lennon, even though, I understood the difficulty of living with someone as annoying as Brandon, many of her attitudes had me wishing I could get there and strangle her. But then, Brandon was also the biggest A****... Honestly dude, I get you're suffering but get your grownup pants on and stop complaning.
I found the writing too quickly paced at some point, however, by the end (mainly after the big event) the author seemed to have a grip on the story and that little problem seemed to have been resolved.
My biggest problem was the writing, because in the beginning everything happened too quickly, there wasn't time for me to get attached to the characters, I didn't quite feel like they were real and I was rooting for them until the very end of the book - when things got *ahem* interesting.

But it was, overall not the worst of first books and I have all confidence that the second one will be even better!

Rating: 3 stars.

Never stop dreaming,
Tânia

Hello book-readers!
I am such a bad person! I've been lacking on the posts lately, but honestly I haven't been having time. College is taking all my time, seriously this semester was absolutely horrible.
But it's christmas time and we shall not talk of sad things.

Me, Mad, from Presa Nas Palavras and Gabby, Ponto Sem Retorno's writer, because we are insane, decided to make this last week of the year count and try to read a book a day until the 31st.
Obviously with Christmas it will be pretty impossible, but hey, lets challenge ourselves. To make it better - or worse - Mad sugested trying to post every single day during this challenge.

Guilty Book Tag

Hello book-nerds! September is at its end :(

I'm very proud of myself and Madalena, it was a very hard month. Not only did my personal life no give me a break, but college, writing, publishing a book made my time so slim... But I did it and I'm proud and I hope you've enjoyed this extraordinary month - because I'm not doing another anytime soon.

Today is the 30th and so, it's tag day! And I've been recently tagged by Banal Girl to do the Guilty Tag.
As always, I'm doing this with Madalena from Presa Nas Palavras and you should totally go check her answers!
Without farther a do, here we go to our last post of the month:

Hello book-nerds
If, like me, you're a fan of the supernatural, of Marvel and DC, you might be familiar with their tv show adaptations. You might even watch The Flash or Agents of Shield, but, while those are two amazing series, there's been a Marvel tv show that's been growing quite alot lately and that it has completely hooked me.

Hello book-nerds, are you having a hard time deciding what book to start next?
Have you thought about stepping out of your confort zone and try a graphic novel?
I've only read one in my life (until this point), but I absolutely loved it.

29396738

Synopsis:

Set in an alternate matriarchal 1900's Asia, in a richly imagined world of art deco-inflected steam punk, MONSTRESS tells the story of a teenage girl who is struggling to survive the trauma of war, and who shares a mysterious psychic link with a monster of tremendous power, a connection that will transform them both and make them the target of both human and otherworldly powers.
If you're a fan of fantasy or just pretty great drawings/paintings, give this a try. I honestly had the best time diving into these books, full of emotions, suspense and lots and lots of blood.

Hello book-nerds!
It finally happened. I didn’t like a Colleen Hoover’s book. It’s not that I have problems with them – which I do, a lot. – is that I actually did not enjoy reading it, did not like the characters and did not see the redemption of arc of anyone.
I’ll be honest, I started this book by pure boredom. I found it by chance and decided to give it a try. All for science, right?

Book Recomendation | Scarlet Moon

Hello book nerds, are you ready for another awesome recommendation in came your TBR is getting low.

31186223

Synopsis:

The hunted Feravolk are counting on Jayden, a seventeen-year-old, dagger-wielding, storm-detecting orphan, to save their race. Maybe they should have thought of that before they killed her family.

The land of Soleden is dying because the sorceress queen hunts and kills the people who cared for all nature, the Feravolk. Through their special bond with animals, the Feravolk have become more than men. Faster, stronger, masters of camouflage and stealth. Only a Deliverer born the night of the Blood Moon can save them from extinction.

According to prophecy, Jayden is a Deliverer, but it’s not a destiny she wants. She has no sympathy for either side. The Feravolk killed her family, so they can die for all she cares. And fighting the queen with nothing but daggers and her special abilities—storm predicting—is a suicide mission. Destiny can pick someone else.

Except hiding from destiny proves difficult; Deliverers attract powerful Protectors. Jayden’s is one of the Feravolk, so he can’t be trusted. But he makes her feel safe. Makes her want to save his race. If she chooses to keep hiding, he’ll remain one of the hunted, but he’ll protect her even if it means his death if she faces the queen. Making the right choice has never been so excruciating, especially since the prophecy says nothing about the Deliverer’s success, or survival.

It's no secret to any of you that one of my favourite book ever given to me by an author is Scarlet Moon  by S. D Grimm.
It was a book that, altough flawed, pulled me in and didn't let go.
The characters were amazingly written, they felt do real, I fell completly in love. You can read my review on the first and second book of this trilogy here on the blog, if you feel like it.

Hello book nerds, today I decided to be a little different and instead of telling you about a book I adore and that you should read, I'd tell you about my all time favourite show.
Which is... *drum roll*
Doctor who!!!
Image result for doctor who
`Doctor Who' is a classic science-fiction programme with a cult following. The Doctor is called a `Time Lord', a time-travelling scientist from a far off planet, who travels through time and space in a shop known by the acronym TARDIS. A TARDIS is a machine that is larger on the inside than the outside and is supposed to change its appearance based on its surroundings. The Doctor is also able to evolve his biology, so he appears as many different people throughout the series. The Doctor loves Earth, so he makes many trips here to save the planet, or to enlist earthlings to help him with tasks in the galaxy.
This show addresses all time of problems, while not boring the audience. It's a family show that thrives on breaking barriers, either including the audience in the episode (there are episodes that you watching changes how things unfold), or touching subjects you wouldn't otherwise contemplate.

I think the biggest, most important lesson this show has taught me is that it's okay to be goofy, to prefer to dream and not to have your feet on the earth. It's okay to be you even when it means you'll sometimes get hurt, because that life, and there will always be people who you'll fit with you and you with them.

That's all for today, I couldn't possible convey all my love for this show in words, there's simply not enough letters in the alphabet for me to do it. So let me know in the comments if you've seen Doctor Who, if so, we can be friends. If not, go way, I don't like you, ~ joking guys, I love you all ~

Hello book-nerds!

It's day 18, my internership has begun, college has begun, and I'm still here. I'm so proud!!
So I've recently been forced to read The Deal - I'm talking about you Mad! - and I fell completly in love with the characters.

I made the mistake of starting it at night and... let's say I only slept 5 hours that night...

Totally not my fault, it's Mads fault.

23395680

Synopsis:

This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do. This afternoon, her planet was invaded.

The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit.

But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a tangled web of data to find the truth, it's clear only one person can help her bring it all to light: the ex-boyfriend she swore she'd never speak to again.

This book is told in the form of files and while I was a bit reticent, because I was sure there was no way I was going to get into those characters. I have to be honest and admit i absolutely LOVED this book.
It takes a little while for you to get used to this peculiar format you are just completely sucked into it. Just so you know, I read 499 pages of this book in one-sitting.
The graphics, the characters, the plot.... It's so creative and simply amazing.
Honestly, give it a try. But maybe buy the paperback, because the hardback is way too expensive > .<

Synopse:
